AI-assisted processing may be used to:

  1. generate draft documents;
  2. assist with workflow routing;

  4. summarise uploaded materials;
  5. extract relevant details from files;
  6. draft clauses or sections;
  7. detect inconsistencies;
  8. support document editing; and
  9. provide other Platform functionality.

8.3 Human review

StartWise Drafting does not include attorney review unless separately purchased. AI-assisted processing is not a substitute for legal advice, attorney review, legal approval or legal sign-off.

8.4 AI service providers

We may use third-party AI service providers or infrastructure providers to deliver AI-assisted features. Where we use service providers, we require them to process data only for specified purposes and to protect personal data in accordance with applicable requirements.

8.5 Your responsibilities

You should not include unnecessary sensitive personal data in prompts, workflow answers or uploaded materials. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to provide any personal data processed through AI-assisted features.

Workflow answers, Business Profile data and generated documents may be retained while your Account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards unless deleted earlier in accordance with Platform functionality, our policies or applicable law.

Data relating to Document Review / Attorney Review, Legal Consultation or bespoke legal services may be retained for longer periods where necessary for professional, legal, regulatory, insurance, conflict-checking, risk-management or recordkeeping purposes.

13.6 Payment data

Payment and transaction records may be retained for tax, accounting, audit, dispute, fraud prevention and legal compliance purposes.

13.7 Deletion and anonymisation
