General Membership

What is StartWise™ US?
StartWise™ US is a subscription-based legal and business support program offered by Law Offices of Gabriel C. Mbanefo, P.C. (d/b/a Entrepreneur Legal®). We provide scalable, founder-friendly legal and business support services to startups with operations and/or commercial interests in the US through tiered membership plans that eliminate unpredictable hourly billing.
What’s included in each membership tier?
Each plan includes a combination of legal Q&A, 1:1 strategy calls, document reviews, access to legal templates, and discounts on legal services. Full inclusions are listed at: https://us.entrep.legal/startwise-us-membership.
Can I upgrade, downgrade, or cancel my membership?
You can cancel your membership at any time via your online account. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing cycle (monthly or annually). We do not offer refunds for unused time or early termination. You will retain full access to your plan benefits until the end of the period.

Legal Advice Q&A

What is counted as one Email (or WhatsApp) Q&A?
One legal Q&A is a single, focused legal or business question (or a set of related sub-questions) on a specific issue (e.g., contractor agreements, hiring terms, vesting schedules). Clarifying follow-up on the same issue is included.
Do multiple questions in one email count as one or more Q&As?
If the questions relate to the same topic, they count as one. If they involve unrelated topics (e.g., equity grants vs. IP ownership), they may count as separate Q&As.
What if I send a long email chain—does each reply count separately?
No. As long as the thread pertains to a single issue, it’s counted as one Q&A. New topics raised in the same or future threads may be counted separately.
Do questions about pricing, services, or how the platform works count as Q&As?
No. Administrative, billing, or service-related questions (e.g., “How do I upgrade?” or “What’s the consultation policy?”) are not counted toward your Q&A allowance.

Consultations and Document Support

How do I book a 1:1 call?
You can book your strategy calls using the scheduling link on your client dashboard. Meetings are typically conducted via Google Meet.
Can I roll over unused consultations or Q&As to the next month?
Yes. Unused Q&As and consultations may roll over once into the next month only. For example, unused May benefits can be used in June, but not after. Additional consultations beyond your plan limits can be purchased at discounted hourly rates.
What kind of documents can you review or draft?
We can review a broad range of business-related legal documents. Please visit the Commercial Agreements US page (under the Legal Services (US) tab) for more details. However, note that for reviewing documents of more than 10 pages in length (based on standard formatting in Times New Roman and 12 pt font) and drafting bespoke legal documents, add-on pricing applies.
How do I access the templates for free?
With your Subscription, you can download and use ALL templates FREE. You should see a 100% discount displayed when you visit the product page of any templates whilst logged into your account.

Yes. Law Offices of Gabriel C. Mbanefo, P.C. (d/b/a Entrepreneur Legal®) is a licensed law firm based in New York. Legal services are provided by U.S.-qualified attorneys, subject to conflict checks and onboarding approval for applicable plans.
Do you provide litigation, tax, or immigration services?
No. StartWise™ US membership plans do not include litigation, court representation, tax advice, immigration law, or regulated financial services. For more information on the scope of services offered by Entrepreneur Legal®, please visit https://us.entrep.legal/legal-services-us/. If a matter falls outside our service scope, we’ll notify you and may refer you to trusted external counsel.
